Frozen pies - Microwaving

Hihi

My oven isn't connected yet, but I have 8 frozen pies that are designed
to be ovened, can I do them in the microwave somehow? (I'm not bothered
if the pastry doesnt' come out too well as long as they don't kill me)

They say oven them at 200C/400F for 30 minutes

they weigh about 150g I'd say, although I'm not too sure on that, going
by the nutritional information on the side that's what they weigh,
they're standard netto steak and kidney pies anyway

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Hihi

One additional point, I want to do them one at a time, not all 8 at
once, lol

I'd wait until the oven is connected. If you microwaved them by the
time the filling was done the crust would be so tough and hard that the
pies would be inedible. The filling will probably be okay but things
like breads and pastries don't do well in a microwave. They require
the dry heat of an oven in order for them to come out right.

We reheat our frozen pies in the microwave with no problems. We wrap them
in gladbake (baking paper) then put them in (straight from the freezer) for
3 minutes at around 800 power (I can't remember what the units are). If
we're around the kitchen while they're cooking, we put them in for 1.30
minutes on one side and turn them over for the other 1.30 minutes. If
you're cooking more than 1 at the same time, add about 2.30 minutes for each
pie. These are the instructions on the pie packet.

Ahh, thanks, I did try it with one but it seems the original poster was
right in that it wasn't too clever when it came out, possibly because
they weren't designed to be cooked that way, not sure, I would have the
gas cooker connected but I'm having a bit of a disagreement with the
landord over who pays for it (it'll cost £70 to have done!) so it's
not been done yet and being gas I'm somewhat disinclined to do it
myself, lol, not wanting to blow the place up

Thanks ^^

Gosh, gas just isn't that hard to manipulate. Tell you what - you fly
me over there, I'll hook it up for free.
