Hihi
My oven isn't connected yet, but I have 8 frozen pies that are designed to be ovened, can I do them in the microwave somehow? (I'm not bothered if the pastry doesnt' come out too well as long as they don't kill me) They say oven them at 200C/400F for 30 minutes they weigh about 150g I'd say, although I'm not too sure on that, going by the nutritional information on the side that's what they weigh, they're standard netto steak and kidney pies anyway Any thoughts? Thanks -- Adam |

Hihi
One additional point, I want to do them one at a time, not all 8 at once, lol -- Adam |

We reheat our frozen pies in the microwave with no problems. We wrap them
in gladbake (baking paper) then put them in (straight from the freezer) for 3 minutes at around 800 power (I can't remember what the units are). If we're around the kitchen while they're cooking, we put them in for 1.30 minutes on one side and turn them over for the other 1.30 minutes. If you're cooking more than 1 at the same time, add about 2.30 minutes for each pie. These are the instructions on the pie packet. > wrote in message ups.com... > Hihi > > My oven isn't connected yet, but I have 8 frozen pies that are designed > to be ovened, can I do them in the microwave somehow? Ahh, thanks, I did try it with one but it seems the original poster was right in that it wasn't too clever when it came out, possibly because they weren't designed to be cooked that way, not sure, I would have the gas cooker connected but I'm having a bit of a disagreement with the landord over who pays for it (it'll cost £70 to have done!) so it's not been done yet and being gas I'm somewhat disinclined to do it myself, lol, not wanting to blow the place up Thanks ^^ -- Adam |

Tell you what - you fly me over there, I'll hook it up for free. |
