Barbecue (alt.food.barbecue) Discuss barbecue and grilling--southern style "low and slow" smoking of ribs, shoulders and briskets, as well as direct heat grilling of everything from burgers to salmon to vegetables.

I was in Tuesday Morning today and I always check out their cookbook
section. I found "Webber's Real Grilling" by Jamie Purviance. It was
$7.99 with a UPC price of $24.95. I have a good friend who has a Webber
kettle charcoal grill and I thought it would make a nice gift for him.

The recipes are really great. Lots of rubs, marinades and sauces with
directions for charcoal and gas grilling. I told my friend that he'll
have to wait; I'm keeping the book for a while <g>

That's some Chinese knock-off of Weber, right?

Janet,

Please don't crosspost to rec.food.cooking. Thanks.

Why?

The topic was of interest to both groups, which I subscribe to. There
are no laws against cross-posting when the topic fits the groups. It's
not like I was posting what I ate for breakfast.

If I ever have trouble remembering which recipe I really liked out of a book, I
just look at the pages with the most stains on them. Those end up being the most
likely candidates for a repeat performance.

So your friend might end up getting a gift with a few messy pages. 8^)

Why? I'm sure there are a lot of nice people on r.f.c, but crossposting
also attracts nuts to a new NG.

I recognize that there are no laws against crossposting, even when the
topic doesn't fit the group, and I am far from being a usenet cop. It was
just a simple request. Sorry if I made you feel attacked or challenged,
Janet. That was not my intent.

Take care.
