You are implying that all the people in the above ethnic group all across
America wish death to police and have yet to master the english langauge?
Who are these people, what is their skin color, what do they're eyes look
like or is it the nose, hair or lips that can help us tell them apart from
our ethnic group. I want to know so that I can avoid them, perhaps start
taking names and just in case, send them on a death march, if they don't
straighten up to our ethnic groups standards.

Warm Regards
Piedmont

Hey Eddie,

I knew of your wife from previous conversations and was a little baffled
by the words used. I now am certain that you didn't mean harm with your
words, but IMHO the phrasing could have been tuned better. Your alright
in my book, very sorry for the confusion and I hope we can be friends.

My late wife was Af-Am, a dark, gorgeous and highly intelligent
business women whom I owe my sanity to. My fiance with Puerto Rican
ancestry, is a wonderful, lovely and highly intelligent woman, retired
Air Force, who looks like the world all wrapped in one. While stationed
in Japan, the Japanese thought she was Japanese (slightly hooded eye
lids), in Spanish populations she is mistaken for Spanish. I think she I
absolutely beautiful.

I'll close with saying I'm very proud of you that you have seen beyound
culture and married as you have.

Warmest Regards,
Piedmont

Small note: You are confusing "culture" and "race / ethnicity". Race /
ethnicity is fixed based on parental lineage, culture is behavior which
is learned and can be changed.

Yes, it was the simplistic explanation.

I don't know much about them, but being on their good side would seem to
be where you want to be. It seems like most of them can change a spare
tire by picking up the car with one hand and spinning the lug nuts off
with their fingers on the other.

Gosh Eddie I don't remember! Really! I looked through some old threads
and can't find nothing. Probably a temporal shift in time!?

I was in the Navy from 72-76 is all. Didn't even get out of the states,
school in Georgia and then stationed in Maine. Had a great time.

We'll do the deed New Years in Mayaguez, PR. Her moms home town. I'm
trying to get her to contact family but she hasn't met anyone there and
is shy about it. I said if what you tell me is true about tight PR
families it won't matter that you never met.

Beautiful beach. Good local beer. Hit the off-the-beaten-path Taíno BBQ
joints, hole-in-the-wall mom-and-pop eateries and street and beach
vendors. I guarantee, her family will embrace you both and make you feel,
not just welcome, but HOME! Don't forget to take pics. ;-)

Jun is my Thai wife, compañero.
