Hello one and all, Happy holidays.

I tried a turducken for X-mas and it turned out FANTASTIC !!
I know its not BBQ but damn it was good.
I used a variation of Purdomme's recipe and my wife made three different
types of stuffing. I'll post pictures and links to the recipes on alt
binaries.food after I digest and
down load the pics off of the camera. I was hesitant at first and it got
worse as today approached, but it turned out very well.
Just had to brag....

Darryl, in snowless Ontario, Canada.

The pictures were great - thanks. Any pointers to instructions on boning
the birds so completely?

Mostly http://casa.colorado.edu/~kachun/tdc_recipe.shtml and it's linked
pages for the boning and other prep tips.
With help from http://webhome.idirect.com/~boof/tdk10.htm

http://www.thedenverchannel.com/prin...42/detail.html for the turkey
stuffing.

http://recipes.ksl.com/recipe-9690i.php for the duck stuffing.

And finally the apple/pear stuffing at
http://www.auntie.com/cookbook/oven009.asp

Darryl.

Those are excellent links (of the URL variety).

The first link says to set the oven at 190 degrees.
The second link says 200 degrees. From the standpoint
of food safety (and poultry), is there any concern about
poultry taking such a long time to get above 140
(the "safe" temperature)?

Nice pic spread you put up there on ABF Darryl. I have about 2800
images archived so far from ABF if anybody needs a repeat.

I might take a wee bit of time to repay help - but I do come through
eventually (no excuse here - I just screwed up)

Darryl made me a beutiful SS Turkey lifter to do a DF Turkey - It works
fanastic for large birds (up to 35 pounds so far)
