Default Road Trip - Royal Oak Lump

also posted to ABF.

I'm leaving the New Orleans area Monday evening (2-2-2004) for the Stuart/Hobe Sound area of Florida
and passing through Ocala, and returning to the New Orleans area Saturday (2-8-2004).

I just called Royal Oak to confirm the following and, like others have said, she is reluctant to
deal with the 40lb. bags.

I'm going to buy 400 pounds in 20lb. bags for myself.

Is there anybody in that path that wants me to pick them up some?

Just be sure to stop in for food in Micanopy with Big Jim. IIRC, he's closed on
Sundays.
Micanopy not all that far from Royal Oak.

Shows how much *I* know about small towns. Around *here* anything within 30
miles is considered *IN* Orlando. It must be nice living somewhere not so huge.
What is the job market like around there...?

I suspect that the reason they don't want to deal in the 40 lb bags is
because they custom bag those for another vendor. It comes in a
brown bag with somebody else's name on it. Royal Oak uses an
orange bag with their own name on it for their own branded product.
Those 40 Lb'ers probably go to a restaurant supply house.
