Driving by the BK this week I saw on their sign these words:
Try our new smokehouse pork BBQ sandwich! I have not tried it. Any of you tried the thing? ag |

It's about the same class of 'BBQ' pork from Subway. Maybe if I was
stuck on a desert island.... I stress 'maybe' Mark AG wrote: > Driving by the BK this week I saw on their sign these words: > > Try our new smokehouse pork BBQ sandwich! > > I have not tried it. Any of you tried the thing? > > ag > > |

It's no different than getting the pulled pork in sauce in plastic containers that you find at a supermarket. They just use their buns and toppings. Jesse |

That's better than what you'd get if the help made the stuff. Reheating pulled pork can be very good, if the original pulled pork was good and you reheat it right. The biggest problem with the supermarket stuff is what they use for sauce, and how much sauce they use. It doesn't taste the same as real BBQ pulled pork, but it's ok as it's own thing. Seems somebody righteously complained that the label didn't meet federal guidelines. Sauce comprises over half of the contents. JD |

Beware, Burger King does not cook it's meat all the way through, I know this
for a fact. If you eat under cooked pork it could be bad news. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Support American Families, Buy Made In USA! I dislike BB for a variety of reasons, but I have never seen any meat products that have been undercooked at any of the stores I have been to. So I guess this must be a store-by-store issue, rather than a general problem?? Dave |

You would think they have a smoker with all the smoke they put out. I think I may just live in ignorant bliss on the BK sandwich. Think I would rather go to the effort of thawing some of my last batch of pulled pork. However, I do agree with the guy that likes the McRib. For what they are, they are mighty tastee. ag |

Just my opinion, but I think you are full of crap. Prove your statement. What is undercooked to you? I eat port at 140 to 150 degrees. Ed http://pages.cthome.net/edhome |

Commercially grown pork presents no threat of trichanosis (sp?) now that the pigs are fed a controlled diet and not allowed to forage. I got one of their whoppers bit into it and it was almost raw. I called the
health department, they sent someone to investigate and found that they were not cooking the meat all the way through even though the manager said they did. At another BK we had to send out burgers back because they were not cooked. A friend of ours ate at a BK and their young son almost died, he had to have a blood transfusion. It is BK that is full of crap and you if you eat that dangerous junk they put out. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Support American Families, Buy Made In USA! OK, it may happen at a location or a given shift, etc. That does not mean the entire chain is faulty. > At another BK we had to send out burgers back because they were not > cooked. How cooked were they? What makes you sure they were not properly cooked? Was this j ust your opinhion or wre other complaining. A friend of ours ate at a BK and their young son almost died, he had > to have a blood transfusion. It is BK that is full of crap and you if you > eat that dangerous junk they put out. Yeah, my mother ate a slice of white bread and she died. All white bread kills. I really have a hard time understanding how an under cooked burger is going to cause need for a transfusion. I don't see ambulances at their door, I don't see hospitals loaded with BK custoemrs. You did not provide any details, locations, the real cause of the problem with the child, etc. Yes, you may have had a burger, but I still think you are wrong overall. You still have not given viable evidence. Ed |

I just ate some sliced leftover top-sirloin that only reached 123F when it was roasted (the temp didn't rise after it was taken out) Threw some kosher salt on it and served with stir-fried spinach... Damn. Life is good raw. -sw |
