The other guys put up a decent [adequate] [[so-so]], fight, but that's
the way it goes.

I'm glad that the franchise business entity operating out of Calgary and
known as the Flames is enjoying success. I'm less pleased with it being
reported here.

Yep-they beat the Sharks in OT by a score of 96-95 I think it was.

Woot! And if all those crazy women want to show off their boobies,
who am I to complain?

I hear that someone has opened up a barbeque restaurant somewhere
along Crowchild across from McMahon. Have you tried it out yet?

Actually, you can get a pulled pork sandwich at Toronto Maple Leaf
games at the ACC. Harry's post is on topic once-removed.

There were some nice 'pairs' on display, indeed.

I did. I told the Owneress that she had the best public BBQ joint in
town. [She has the 'only' public BBQ joint in town.]

Pretty thin eating so far, but they are trying hard. They are fine if
you hadn't tried good BBQ. They are popular and I wish them luck.

I'll have to give them a chance, if for no other reason to help me
decide if I want to pursue this hobby & take the plunge to buy
something capable of smoking some meat at a lower temperature. All I
have at the moment is a propane grill, which is fine for steaks, but
not great for slow cooking.

Have you tried? You can turn out some pretty good eats by using wood
chips or chunks in a pie pan on one burner, with the meat set to the
side over an unlighted burner.

NOTE TO ONLOOKERS: Google has archived the many, many discussions
about whether or not this technique yields BBQ. No need to resurrect
it.

Yep, I've slow cooked pork tenderloins & roasts with some smoke chips.
It works alright, but I find that I can't do ribs or anything that
would require slower cooking, as I can't keep the temperature low
enough. Having lurked here, read the FAQ, and some of the archives, I
know better than to call that BBQ. ;-)

Try propping the lid open a little.
