Is it ok to put some foil under the fire grates in a NB Silver (or
CharBroil Silver) to help with disposing of the leftover ash? Jesse |

Garden trowel works well. The steel of the fire box doesn't care about the ash as long as you don't leave it in there. Sometimes I also use a shopvac for the smaller bits. The ash falls through the fire grates anyways. Rob (cleans the firebox when it's cooled ) |

Wasnt sure how tough i was to scoop out. What about fat deposits, do those come off when scraping for the ashes, or do you just burn them off. Speaking of which I need to clean mine right now. Sometimes I don't clean those up till there's a lot. Most of your fat should drain out (in an off set type pit). Rob |
