Default BBQ in Maryland

very comprehensive article in the Wash. Post's "Montgomery County"
section today on BBQ joints in & around Washington. concentrates on
the close-in Maryland counties. lists their criteria etc. try to get
ahold of it. I suppose i could scan & post to a.f.b but it's several
pages! you can probably view on the Post's site.

Then here is yet another gratuitous plug for the KCBS-sanctioned
Maryland State BBQ Championship, August 13-14, in BelAir.
www.marylandbbqbash.com. I'll be there, selling ice and judging.

The organizer, Craig Ward, has more than once told me about Em-Ing's
on the eastern shore. I have not been there myself, but I trust
Craig's judgment.
