Default A visit with JD :-), and " 'Q-In observations

Our own JD stopped into to town and gave me a call. He'd been doing a quick
tour to get his motorcycle posture into shape, and happened to be in the
neighborhood. We meet at my bbq joint and had a great little chat. I took
him on a tour of the store for a look-see, with the promise that he was
going to be back for the " 'Q - In " on October 16.

I have managed to meet quite a few of you guys over the last few years. Now,
having met JD, the closer we get to the 'Q - In and grand-opening on October
16, the more excited I am to get as many of you together as possible. We've
got a great group of folks, and I hope many of us will be here.

Also, keep in mind that for those of you attending, you have a shot at
winning a brand-spankin' new WSM.

If I'd planned it better I'd have brought my camera but as it was, a wild
hair inspired me at Monroe and I was in Wenatchee before I knew it. Dave's
is going to be one way cool joint. Can't wait to see that huge kitchen when
it's done. Stopped in Leavenworth and had a great brat at the Munchen Haus.
Today I'm a bit stiff and sore from that 300 mile putt but I'm grinning. See
y'all in October.

It's a '99 Honda ST1100. You'll definitely see it if I come solo. If
Sugarbritches comes with me it'll depend on how well she adjusts to being a
passenger and whether she can pack enough for an overnight in ONE saddle
bag. It ain't a matter of craziness, I've ridden year 'round as long as the
roads were clear of ice and snow (unlike some of those girlyman HOG members
I *used* to ride with).

Looking forward to seeing you there however you get there! I figured
there might be some snow on Hwy 2 by mid October. Our road (Hwy 20) will
probably be closed by then. Guess we'll see!

I'm not counting on much snow on Stevens Pass then but I could be wrong. I'm
not quite as hardcore as I was in my younger life and may wimp out if it's
nasty.
