Default A Sign of the Times -- Dave's Pit-Smoked Bar-B-Que update

Crazy Pig is up and already drawing lots of attention. He just went up late
this pm, and the poor contractors at the store are having to let lots of
folks know that the opening is still three weeks away. I'm loving it :-)

If not, maybe run off a bunch and nail the stack to the door, people
could tear one off and take it with them.

Nothing like good pre-buzz to get the enterprise off to a good start.

It's about a 2.5 hour drive, 160 miles. Of course, that is dependent on the
traffic coming out of the Seattle area.

Neat stuff Dave. Damn I'm jealous. One suggestion for your sight, the <META
name="keywords" content="barbecue,barbeque,smoked,pit-smoked"> probably
should be enlarged to include "Wenatchee, restaurant, food, take-out ,
delivery, catering, party, parties, food, etc.etc.etc.

I've never timed it from North Bend, but Foscoe might have an idea.

Just in the nick of time, too. Gordy's place out by the golf course
is slipping -- my "pulled pork" sammich last week was full of sliced
cooked pork, no bark at all. My partner's ribs tasted and felt
parboiled, then smoked.

I think it'll make a good day trip, over Stevens and through
Leavenworth, down to Dave's for lunch, and back over Snoqualmie.

I'll bet if Dave has only half the interest that it sounds like, the first
weeks/months will be standing room only.

BOB
will get up that way some day, but not for the grand opening party
