Unruly McDonald's Customer Refuses to Pay for BBQ Sauce

Updated: Thursday, 18 Nov 2010, 3:42 PM CST
Published : Thursday, 18 Nov 2010, 3:42 PM CST

Sun-Times Media Wire

Maybe if he had gone to Burger King, he could have had it his way.
Instead, police were called to northwest suburban McDonald’s when a
man refused to pay for extra barbecue sauce.

Police responded to a disorderly conduct call at the McDonald’s at
1200 N. Arlington Heights Rd. in Buffalo Grove at about 2 p.m.
Tuesday, according to Buffalo Grove police.

A restaurant worker said the customer requested extra barbecue sauce
for his meal and became upset when he was told extra condiments cost
10 cents, according to police.

The man allegedly told the clerk he was from a local health department
and that when he returned, the restaurant “would not be happy with the
health code violations that he would find.”

Police have been unable to trace the registration on the man’s
vehicle, and no arrests had been made as of Thursady. The Buffalo
Grove Health Department said no one matching the man's description
works there.

Which is stupider...getting your panties in a twist
because someone charges you a dime, or calling
the police on the "packet bandit"?

In similar news...I HAD A McRIB Sandwich today,
and it was splendid! Man it was good. No one
called 911.

Nobody in this thread has spotted that nothing at McDonalds remotely
resembles BBQ sauce...

This depends ENTIRELY on where you are in the world, I suspect. Though I
do get your point about "substances served in plastic packets with 'BBQ'
in their label, vs actual BBQOMGWTF saucezors". The green chile you can get
on your burgers in New Mexico is actual green chile, for example.
