Hardwoods to avoid?
I have used hickory, oak and mesquite but wonder if there are any hardwoods to
avoid for any kind of cooking... Thanks Jim |

I don't know if Oleander is a hardwood, but the flowers are toxic. Anything

Oleander is soft wood and ALL parts of the plant are toxic to humans. |

Adding to this...I had a friend in Jr High school that tried to cook over Oleander. He got so sick, he never tried the food. Inhaling the smoke caused tiny blisters inside his nose and down almost to his lungs. Oleander is *VERY* nasty stuff. BOB |
