Barbecue (alt.food.barbecue) Discuss barbecue and grilling--southern style "low and slow" smoking of ribs, shoulders and briskets, as well as direct heat grilling of everything from burgers to salmon to vegetables.

Default Smoke in the Valley

Smoke in the Valley BBQ competition this weekend. This will be the
first time for me, not competing just checking out the lay of the
land. Here is the link
http://glfcbbq.com/

I'm excited about it and I hope to pick up some ideas as I have put a
team together and we plan on entering the one in our area in
September. It's the only other one in our area this season....ok not
really...there is one other but the rules for that other one prohibit
alcohol of any kind ! (it's in Lancaster, PA which is Amish country)
So as far as I am concerned it doesn't even exist.

If you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible
warning.
