Barbecue (alt.food.barbecue) Discuss barbecue and grilling--southern style "low and slow" smoking of ribs, shoulders and briskets, as well as direct heat grilling of everything from burgers to salmon to vegetables.

Default Nice cement block pit/bbq plans!

I finally found what looks like a very nice block pit/barbecue! Here is
the link,

http://www.motherearthnews.com/arc/154/

It has two cooking areas, plus the ability to place pots and pans on it
plus a plate for a wok. Real sweet looking thing I found on the Mother
Earth News Site.

Mike -

Thanks for posting this, it couldn't have come at a better time for me! I'm
re-configuring my backyard, and the two prime elements are a brick pit and
a putting clock. Had the plans for the putting surface, and this will speed
completion of the planning and layout.

For anyone else who might be wanting to build a putting surface in the back
yard, here's a great resource: http://www.putting-greens.com/index.html.

Best,
George
