I did finally figure that out. What happened was, I had to reload my
newsreader
and in the process, I lost my duplicate message file. Viola; next time I
fired it
up, it called up everything that was still on the server. Yup, 5.5 years.
How's
that for some retention? I shut it down after it downloaded about 11,500
files.
