Default Finding hot and cold spots.

Every now and then a question comes up about how even their cooking grate
temperatures are. Every cooker will have some places differing. That is
actually an advantage if you know where they are so you can move the food as
needed. An empty cooker will also be a bit different from a partially filled
one.

How to tell?

Get a package or two of the ready to cook biscuits that come in the
cardboard containers. Heat the grill or smoker, then place the biscuits
around the grate. Check back to see what is done and what is not done yet
and you have a map.

Hats off to you, Ed for pointing out a common sense solution that doesn't
require $129.99 worth of electronics.
