Not an expert grillmaster, but a fairly good cook. I do love grilling
and do it pretty much year-round. My question is fairly simple and have not come upon a solution yet. I have a Weber Silver Kettle (the one with nickel plated grate). I love grill marks and have been looking for a cast iron grate that someone has got to be manufacturing. I came across one website that mentions a round cast iron grate that apparently Weber doesn't manufacture anymore. Furthermore, from reading one or two articles on this newsgroup, some folks have said that cast iron grates are high maintenance. What other solutions can you recommend (apart from getting a new grill). I like Charcoal, I like my weber kettle, but I do wish I had a heavier grill (with hinges, preferably). Oh and I'm cheap-ish, so if costs as much as the grill, I probably won't get it. Ideas folks? Thanks Uss |
