Default Best of the West?

Hi,

My local Randall's/Safeway store has started to carry the "Best of the
West" brand of lump charcoal:

Does anyone here have experience with it? Would love to know before I try.

Try this link- it's a review by the Naked Whiz from his website.

Also, look for lump at a Wal-Mart, if you have one nearby. Some of them
sell lump- either Real Flavor or Royal Oak. Both are made by Royal Oak.
I used both of them, and prefer Royal Oak. I get it at the local
Wal-Mart (the one that is more local than the other 6-8 "local"
Wal-Marts) for $5.27 for a 10 pound bag.

Lump sprayed with wax? Sounds like a good solution for windy days.
Anyone try this product? Any unusual odor or residue?

Tought I'd let you know I purchased a bag of their Mesquite lump for my
country style ribs yesterday. This is good stuff! Not very uniform size
like Royal Oak, but all sizes and shapes. Looks like a petrified forest
was dropped in the bag! It's clearly a step above what I have been using
up to now (also price wise unfortunately). However, this is great lump
that burns "forever".

And the result was pure mesquite magic. I could feel the love all
around... Well worth the extra cost.
