Barbecue (alt.food.barbecue) Discuss barbecue and grilling--southern style "low and slow" smoking of ribs, shoulders and briskets, as well as direct heat grilling of everything from burgers to salmon to vegetables.

I'm into it, the spousal unit is not. I'm not looking for great, just good.
Any opinions on this place:

I get my ribs and brisket, she gets Mexican. Will we be happy?

Well ain't never been there but would venture to say that the place is gonna
look the San Antonio version of an Appleby's--food may be ok but not bbq.
Would bet that your wife will be pleased--mine would probably like the
place! Of course that's easy to say from Wisconsin<sf>

We've went there once on vacation, had the Mexican (more like Tex-Mex) and
it was tasty. Another in our party had the smoked chicken and said it
wasn't as good as mine :-). IMHO, it probably meets your standard of good
and if you can both be satisfied at the same place....all the better. Try
the Margarita Cheesecake, it is worth the trip.
