Barbecue (alt.food.barbecue) Discuss barbecue and grilling--southern style "low and slow" smoking of ribs, shoulders and briskets, as well as direct heat grilling of everything from burgers to salmon to vegetables.

Go to the Kamado Forum, Mike; locate him [look under 'moderators']. it
has a 'send a private message' feature.

Consider me pinged...

What kinds of questions do you have about making/smoking corned beef or
pastrami?

Oopsies - never thought of that, Alan.

Harry

who just received a private post from a friend I lost track of 32
years ago via the Kamado smoke signal system. I subsequently checked
- he has his K passport.

Harry, we don't take too kindly to top-posters around here. It shows a
lack of couth and education.

Those of us that have been around a while, as well as those of us who
have used Usenet for a while generally tend to put our replies at the
*bottom* (i.e. *end* of the original post.)

It is agreed on here that a post followed by a bottom post reply (ad
infinitum) is vastly easier to read than that top-posting bullshit.

It was quoted from another group where Harry and Nick (used them in the same
sentence for the 2nd time this week) are generally punchbags.

I've recently signed up for the exclusive rights to all of TFM's material
and set up a European office. I've called it Racist Hillbilly's and Scots
United Ltd.

Nick takes the jabs well, though HAD has a slightly inferior chin which can
be put down to being too wrapped up in ice hockey and watching lithe women
in lycra on the piste.

Plus HAD has a Kamado, which is good enough reason to despise him <G>.

Gimme a break kiltie boy - I've been here since before Scotland
discovered sheep - should have chastised me for not putting OT in the
title line. Besides it was a private message and not for you to read
eh. :0) Luvs you anyhow . . .

Lithe women watching is a local pastime here - on the piste & sur la
glace, eh.

Harry

who has two Kamados . . . and is adding a Meridian to the fleet . . .

HAD

Using the bigger one right now for an overniter brisket cook and
planning a grill job for a Ukranian sausage ring for tomorrow's
breakfast for the little guy.

Bite me! :0)

Nyet, Jack. Kamado

It'll be a patio heater - more like a #5 or #7 or so with a chimney
extension and a brass protected open fuel input area and whose main
job is to provide some warm comfort and joy to evenings in early
Spring or late Autumn. I don't see it as cooker unless you're doing
weenies on a stick. Stii talking details with Richard.

This one will be different as it will never live indoors and need
double wall and a two-walled chimney.
