Default New Orleans trip

I am going to New Orleans in a couple of weeks for a long weekend.
Two years ago when I was there I hit Cooter Brown's, Bulldog, Crescent
City Brewhouse, and Acadian Brewery and Beer Garden (which I
understand is closed). Never did get to d.b.a., which I plan to go to
this time. Are there any new brewpubs or good beer bars I should
consider going. I also plan on going over to Mississippi to the Coast
Brewing Co in Biloxi so I can say I finally had a beer from
Mississippi (only four states to go)...

thanks in advance...

Acadian has reopened as the Brewhouse Grill (Brewpub Only - No micro).
Unfortunately they are only selling one house beer which is well-made,
but not terribly exciting. Don't miss Zea Rotisserie & Brewery in nearby
Metarie.

Cheers,

Steve

If you're in Metairie, you might also look for Ale's (can't remember
the full name). It was there in 1996 or so; dunno if it still is.
They didn't have a huge selection, but I found a few things I hadn't
found locally (Dixie White Moose for example), so it was worth the trip.

I was just there for a few days and while I didn't do much beer related (or
should I say goodbeer related, I did drink a lot of Abita and budweiser) as I
was with my wife and she doesn't get quite as excited about beer as I do. I did
make it to dba however they had a great selection and good atmosphere but I was
a bit dissapointed because it was very heavly focused on the west coast. Since
I live in CA I was hoping to run into some east coast beers that I had not
tried before but unfortunately it wasn't ment to be.

Drink Abita Turbodog boardering on FG when fresh. Abita Amber and Bock are
Good. Eat at Coop's on Decature.
