I tried this last night. I like Victory's beers, and I liked their Hop
Devil, so I thought I might give this a try, despite my trepidation about the name. Well, the name is fully justified. It packs a hop wallop, alright. They push the concept to a place where it should not be taken. I couldn't finish it. Drank about 2/3 of the pint, and then decided to get something different to chase it with. The Celis Grand Cru, in fact. I rather liked that one. Dave |

I Well, there are plenty of who would disagree with you on that one! (me included, but its OK to prefer a little more balance in a beer!) |

There was more malt in last year's batch, so it didn't seem as balanced today. Still, it wasn't the hop monster that Stone's Ruination IPA is. It's certainly hoppy, but speaking as one who is no fan of superhopped beers, this was very drinkable. Tom |
