Default Favorite beer....

Of coarse, I have tryed very few. I always like Genisess on tap. A
crunchy oatmeal stout is good. But in my limited experiance, St. Rogue
red ale is the best I've tasted. Anything made by Rogue is very
gooooood. I'm sure there are things I have never tried and cannot debate
upon. But Rogue is the king of my beer drinking world. 5 bucks for a 27?
oz bottle. I have actually spoken with the Rogue email chick. Not that
difficult. I asked why the prices for their products were so steep. They
claim to have rock bottom prices for what they put out. It is of coarse
4 times the price of a factory brew. Well worth the price. I think there
most common product is Dead Guy ale. You can find it,, check out the
head. You better have a big glass. And that St.Rogue red ale is to die
for,,,, or kill someone else for.

Okay I give up. Do you mean Guinness? Genesee? He'Brew Genesis ale?

I agree that most Rogue products are quite tasty, although they come in
22oz bottles around these parts, not 27. I've never had the St. Rogue
Red but I do like Santa's Private Reserve which I've been told is
basically a jacked up version of the Red. I also like American Amber,
Soba Ale and Shakespeare Stout.

I think he means the band Genesis. I really only like the
Gabriel-era band, though I tolerated the first couple post-
Gabriel albums. The former went well with hoppy, hearty
American-style barleywines, or anything a bit out there.
The more recent Collins-era stuff paired with NAIL Light.

And, of course, the pre-Genesis Phil Collins stuff paired well with that
generic stuff from the Safeway that just says "Beer" on the can. You
know, like Brand-X.

Santas Private is supposed to be great, if you can find it. The stout ia
a cut above the rest. I've turned on a few friends with a bottle.
Sweeter than Guiness is a compliment. I just believe in Rogue because I
tasted the red a few times. We all have differant tastes and differing
opinions. But I insist that Rogue Red is the best I've ever tasted in my
limited experiance of beer tasting. That Shakespere stout is great also.

Other good ones, SN pale ale, Dogfishead ale, anything by Anchor. And if
you feel thrifty, Sam Adams is good.
