The effects are like that of crack...you get all 'hopped' up and then you actually start to feel the hoppiness-buzz leave and you want to drink more...strangely addictive... |

I think it's urban legend. Tom W |

See http://www.csdl.tamu.edu/FLORA/Wilso...ot/humuoth.htm for instance. No THC in humulus though. I grow hops, and, um, had a friend, yeah, a friend[*], once upon a time who grew a few cannabis plants. Aside from a similarity born by almost anything green that grows, they don't look the same at all. Fresh or processed. -- Joel Plutchak "Things just fall apart." - Now They'll Sleep (Belly) |

The urban legend I was referring to was that there is THC in hops. Sorry I wasn't clear. Tom W |

Hmmm ... you plant them in the spring, and just before the first frost in the autumn, they're about 8-12 feet tall, and you harvest the unfertilized female flowers ... hmmmmm. |

Hop bines get to about 40 feet tall (except for new dwarf varieties). >...and you harvest the unfertilized female flowers ... hmmmmm. Some hop varieties (typically British) have seeds. But I'll grant you half that one. That reminds me, I have to cut down my (decorative) hop bines. They're *way* past prime. -- Joel Plutchak "Things just fall apart." - Now They'll Sleep (Belly) |
