I've been looking for recipes that use chocolate. I've never had fondue
before but my boyfriend and I would like to try chocolate fondue. If you know any good ones let me know. Thanks in advance. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Version: 6.0.528 / Virus Database: 324 - Release Date: 10/16/2003 |

a tastey fondue thats real simple to make and not time consuming at all. First
for prep work and you cant go wrong here. buy all your favorite fruits and other eibles that you love with chocolate. it could be banannas to even pretzels. once you've got all your "dipping food" prepped then you can start on the fondue or basic sauce. Start of with semi sweet chocolate you can buy everything from a bar of imported belgian chocolate to regular toll house and put it in a mixing bowl. on the stove in a meduim size sauce pan put about 8-16 oz (depending on how much chocolate) of cream, a splash of amaretto a touch of vanilla extract and a pinch of cinnamon. on low heat bring this to a light simmer dont boil cause it will burn. gradually add the heated liquid to the bowl of chocolate and while your doing this whisk with a medium wired wisk and add as much of the flavored cream to the chocolate until you get the consistancy that you want then just pour that mixture into your fondue pot with a low flame on it(stir to prevent burning) and dip away. this will keep in the fridge for a decent amount of time and also works good as a sauce for ice cream. my girlfriend loved in when i made it for valentines day and i hope you and your boyfriend enjoy it too. |

here is one i just made spur of the moment for valentines day that turned out
really well. After you gather all your "dipping food" it can be everything from banannas to pretzels and have them cut into bite size peices you can start making the sauce. in a mixing bowl put semi sweet chocolate that has been broken into peices. this can be anything from imported belgian chocolate to toll house(just make sure it is semi sweet cause we will be sweeting and flavoring it) in a medium sauce pan place 8-16 oz of cream(you can use heavy or light it all depends on your preference light whipping cream has a fat content of 30-35 and heavy has a fat content of 36-40% so depending on diets and how rich you want it you make the call) to the cream at a splash of amaretto, a touch of vanilla extract and pinch of cinnamon. bring this to a light simmer and once you have gotten this to your desired sweetness pour in small amounts the heated liquid of the chocolate to melt it as you stir with a whisk(use a thicker wired whisk) once you get it to the desired thickness stop adding the liquid. this will chocolate sauce will keep for a good while in the fridge and is good to have becuase after you have you fondue then next day you can take it out the fridge and pour the sauce over your favorite ice cream. hope you enjoy this recipe and if i sent this twice i apoligize....Mike |

There are so many books to pick from. I would like to send you mine, but I am worried about copy right laws. Sandi. |
