I love making chocolates... My favorite is also dark chocolate, by the
way. I like to play around with just about any kind of chocolate, to be honest. I know people tend to assocate price with quality, but if well prepared, anything can taste premium. If you can only afford cheap bulk chocolate, try buying some flavored oils and paramount crystals. To soften the chocolate, add a small bit of paramount crystals. Afterwards, add your flavoring of choice. (Non-water based) I find that making a peppermint fondant and covering it in chocolate, and then sprinkling the not-yet hardened chocolate with crushed peppermints is a big hit. If you wanna go out on a ledge and try something real interesting, though, try banana cream chocolates. These were a pretty big hit when I made them for my friends. You can also make regular fondant covered with regular chocolate (or dark)... and flavor and color some white chocolate, and decorate your chocolates with it. =) *Shan* |
