Default All-Clad LTD in the dishwasher

I came home this afternoon to find a well meaning soul at put my new
All-Clad LTD pot in the dishwasher and now it looks sad and grey. Any
ideas for brining it back to its pre-dishwasher state?

Get some Bar Keepers friend and clean it with that.

The preformacne of the pot will continue to amaze you. Why do you
need it looking like it came out of the box.....maybe your sponsor can
get you a new one for the filming of the cooking show you plan on
doing.

She probably knows that.

Perhaps it hangs on a rack in her kitchen, and she'd like it to look nice.

Why couldn't you think of with a possible reason like that on your own, before
posting your nastygram?

Truth is brutal. An ounce of pretensous cook is worth a pound
of BS.

Actually, I strongly disagree with the whole line of thought. The
cookware is in a home not an institutional kitchen. If we were only
concerned with utilitarian function we would all live in concrete block
row houses. The reality is Architecture is thriving, Art is thriving
because humans appreciate aesthetics as much as function. I think it is
normal for somebody to want something to look good in a home (they are
staring at it for long periods of time).

To the original poster: your pot is likely to look mauled as somebody
else mentioned because anodized aluminum does not like basic dishwashing
solvents but battle worn cookware has its own charm.

True. But I still don't polish my copper pots and pans until something acidic
drips down the outside and leaves a bright streak. Then I'm shamed into action
-- but only on that one pot. No point being fanatic about it.

Battle-worn charm! Yeah! That's the ticket! So I'm not just lazy after all...

'bar keepers friend' and a good scrub will make it look brand new.

Since your pot accidentally ended up in the dishwasher (thus voiding the
warranty) I would call or email the All-Clad people and tell them what
happened and ask for suggestions.

I own several pieces of the LTD myself, but have switched to the stainless
because it's dishwasher safe.
