Default Tilia Food Saver question

My ancient Tilia finally stopped heating and sealing. This is one of the
models made in Italy. Does anyone know if such a thing is repairable?

I did purchase a new one made in China. It seems very flimsy and would
like to have the option of using my old one.

You don't specify what models so it's difficult to judge.
All I can tell you is I'm on my second one (gave the first
one to my sister 'cause I wanted the tip-up design).
This is what I have and I love it even more than my first.

Tough question. I've pondered this for a while and the only possibility
would be to call the people at Tilia, but that means you'd have to find
their phone number. Or you could email them, but you'd need a computer to
do that. Good luck

There are at least 6 models on the page, Steve. Which do you have?

That's strange... sorry about that Barb. I have the V2840.
I've had it for about a year. The flip storage is actually
why I "upgraded" from the old unit.

I'm counter space limited and couldn't keep my old one out
so it was a pain to get it out and put it back into a closet
every time I needed it. I use this one much more 'cause
it's just always right there.

Haven't "seen" you for quite a while, I hope all's well and
you're now filthy rich from the jam and resting on your
interest.

I'm still around. Can't get rid of a bad penny. Mostly on r.f.c. and
r.f.p. and a local group. I made about 400 jars of jams and stuff this
summer. Came within an eyelash of being the State Fair's grand
poohbah for canning for the third time in 5 years. Pretty funny.

Famous I've got covered; I'm still waiting for filthy rich! I'll be
watching for your check.

Thanks for asking.
