Default KA Mixer; Ice Cream Maker attachment

cross-posted: followups set to rec.food.equipment

Does anyone know off-hand what the capacity of the ice cream maker
attachment for the KA stand mixer (5 quart tilt-head model) is? I don't
have the documentation easily handy, and the KA website was worthless
when it came to this particular question (believe me, I checked
first!). TIA.

Sky, who has to wait until tomorrow to ring KA customer service!

Actual fluid capacity is two quarts, but since you have to account for
expansion from the air you whip in, one quart of ice cream base is about
all you should put in it.
