Default Found Some Knives

We did a run to Sam's Club yesterday to get meat and stuff. While
walking down one of the aisles I spotted a card with two 7" santoku
knives for $12.76. I used one last night and it's amazingly sharp and
handles very well. That's less than $7 per knife!

It was sold under their new "bakers and chefs" house brand. Or maybe
it's "chefs and bakers"?

Just thought I'd share.

I've had two 7" Santokus and the cheapo Henckles stamped knife from
Target for $12 has been a champ and kept it's edge great. While the
Cuisinart for $30 lost it's edge completely in 5 uses and can't be
steeled with either kind of rod (abrasive or not).

Are those the knives with the white handles??? If so, then I think those
are the "Tremontina" brand out of Brazil. I've bought a few from Sam's
too, and I like them a lot.

I believe they are the same. They have changed the name.

They have Chef's knives packaged the same way at about the same price.
