I have a newer model Black and Decker that is chrome look with black framing and buttons and blue LEDs that I absolutely love. Solid state controls (they all have that these days), tremendous finesse and consistency on settings, bagel and defrost options. I do toast, bagels once for my kids (we're not big on them, but they wanted to try it out), left over waffles defrosted and in turn reheated, and the big workout is english muffins for family favorite eggs benedict. I can do 24 english muffins back to back and they come out consistent. The older, heat capacitor styles don't do back to back consistently. And I got this on sale for under $20 three years ago. jt |
