Default Emiril's Mixer?

Has anyone tried out Emiril's mixer?
I'm in the market to get a mixer (my first), but am daunted by the price
of the KitchenAide.
Emirils is cheaper, and seems to have lots of good stuff with it. I
wonder about the power and reliability tho.

Anyone have experience with it?

Thanks!

I haven't seen that one. Where can you buy it?

If you are looking for an alternative to the KA, you might take a look at
the Wolfgang Puck mixer. It is 700 watts, commercially rated (what ever
that means) and comes with the standard attachment, a pour shield, and two
bowls. The is a variety of attachments available including a blender! The
mixer has two power ports. HSN has a 30 day, unconditional return policy
that included the cost of shipping. The mixer is on sale and you can even
take advantage of their "flex pay" option. If you don't like it, just send
it back. Here is the link:

Hmmm. I saw it at sams club, and that looks just like the model I saw,
with the attached cover and all (can't decide if I like the cover or
not.)
I'll have to go back to see which famous chef it was. It also seems it
was cheaper at sams (around $179 maybe?)

I may have seen it at Sam's also, but I don't recall if it was exactly the
same. Sam's sells Wolfgang Puck cookware, but it isn't the Bistroware line
sold by HSN. I know I have seen the WP griddle at Sam's and maybe the
panini maker. I think if it was the 700 watt model for $179 I would get it.
As for the splash guard, I have to think it is better than the two piece
version I have for my KA stand mixer. The thing is useless and is always in
the way. I should just put it in storage because I seldom use it and it
just gets in the way sitting on the bowl.

It looks like a Kenwood, with a style infusion from Kitchenaid.
Does anyone know whether it accepts Kenwood attachments?

I don't know about the attachments but Europro seems to make a lot of the
small appliances for HSN.

Far as I can tell, someone wrote:

I think you mean the Puck mixer at Sam's.

Sam's sometimes has terrific buys, and sometimes lousy, but this looks
like a good one.

Kitchenaide's price is based more on popularity than quality.
