![]() It used to be vodka was best spirit for flavor infusion cocktails but something smoother has made its début. Could this be the end of vodka? It may not be the end of vodka but it definitely gives the vodka makers a run for their money. S Guaro is new to the USA market even though it has been produced in Costa Rica for over 150 years. The stuff is distilled in Costa Rica from sugar cane in instead of potatoes or grain and they use a similar process the vodka makers do......it's just not vodka. The best thing about S Guaro is that it is so pure. There are no additives or impurities like other spirits. Of course being a distilled spirit there are no carbs or sugars either! Someone was bragging to me how Guaro won't give you a hangover and after extensive testing by yours truly I have found this to be amazingly true. I have been a long time Skyy drinker because of its purity pitch. I just hated the harsh taste and burn of Skyy. Guaro is so smooth you can barely tell it is in a mixed drink. Infusing some S Guaro with citrus and cucumbers makes for an amazing spring cocktail. Try soaking a vanilla bean or some dried cranberries in a bottle you will be blown away at how the flavors POP! This is the end of vodka for me.I have a new favorite and its called S! Their web site: www.sguaro.com Cheers all! ~Jay |

Edwin,
Spam is used to make Musubi, please see the following link for how to make it. http://www.hawaii.edu/recipes/misc/spam.html Thanks for the errrr..... compliment [sic] on the copy writing skills. I am a successful NKBA kitchen designer who loves new things and S Guaro is one of them. I am unashamed to share it with the world. so if you are offended or "****ed off" oh well your loss. ~Jay (In'Keola) "Edwin Pawlowski" > wrote in message news ![]() > > "Inkeola" > wrote in message > ink.net... > > > > > > It used to be vodka was best spirit for flavor infusion cocktails but > > something smoother has made its début. Okay so you may not be an "official" representative of the company, but does this sound familiar? "The S Troop is growing and has caught the eye of the S Guaro people. I thought I might get sued or something but they seem to love the cult like following that is starting. After studying Buzz Marketing as part of my continuing education and relentless pursuit to be forever a student, I have decided to play this out and see where it goes. I have taken on this a project for the pure love of starting something and hope to take it past the logo passing stage..." It should. It is from your website. A quick Google shows that you have been posting the same "end of vodka" stuff on many Usenet groups. You are a spammer, plain and simple. Deny it if you want, but that doesn't change the fact. |

You see this more and more on various newsgroups, and it is usually as transparent as this one. And when confronted, the guilty parties always play innocent. It's really pitiful that these people will deceive others and waste their time trying to promote a commercial product. Yes sir that is my website. (Crude enough but I don't have much time to work
on it.) Firstly apologies to anyone offended by my post. I have been reading this and about 5 other newsgroups since I discovered them. As Steve pointed out I have made a whopping 18 posts to these newsgroups in the last 9 months. He failed to note I have posted on subjects other than S Guaro but whatever. I don't want to misrepresent anything. I am a kitchen designer and my partner is a chef/caterer and we both love finding new and amazing things and telling our friends about them. This was obviously the wrong way to do it and apparently the wrong group to do it in. Live and learn. So no more posts from me OK. I'll just go back to reading. Can I get a big collective *sigh* of relief? I'm sorry you had to waste your time reading my post. ~Jay "I'm gonna take my toys and go back to my sandbox and play with myself." No one's saying to hush up it's just not accepted usenet practice to post the same post on multiple groups promoting a product. If that wasn't your intent it's certainly how it gets perceived on this side of the connection. ;-) See, normally a product/drink wouldn't be posted on a group called rec.food.EQUIPMENT -- Steve |

Well this is where promoting for sales (spam) and sharing information about
something cool finds its "grey area". I'm not selling it, I don't get paid by them to promote it and....... It's not "Lolita just turned 18 and wants to show you her...." I do think people should try to find it and use it. The 5 groups that I posted in are all groups I read for information. Information all related to cooking, food and drink. I assumed an educated buch of people that like to banter on COOKING equipment might like to know about this stuff. Ooopppps.....I did it the wrong way. BTW, I won't go into any detail here but IT is that good. Again I apologize for going about it all wrong. I am not sorry that you now know about it and maybe, just maybe someone else will share their experience with it and the SPAM can turn into a real thread. (Just not in an equipment group) A few years ago I brought back farm sinks from Israel to my Los Angeles kitchen design studio much to the chagrin of the design community and now they are all the rage. I love finding things that are worthy of "promotion". I just need to learn who with and how to share it. Like I said live and learn. Thanks, Jay this is real, "spam Musubi", I grew up in Hawaii and love it. http://www.hawaii.edu/recipes/misc/spam.html Oopss shuda put dis in a food newsgroup! (Just not in an equipment group) I may be a bit cynical, but I've been 99.9% accurate in differentiating between honest excitement for a product and "advertising" under the guise of a newsgroup posting. We are a group of real people that use these groups and we write in normal conversational tones. Me make typing errors, grammatical errors, sometimes us big words and long sentences, but none of us sound like advertising copy when we write. Your post just reeked of Madison Avenue. Just my opinion. |

It's not like there is a burning interest in finding a replacement for vodka in making extracts. Also, it seems that the product in question is just cheap rum - hardly anything to write home about. |

I wasn't going to respond anymore after I made my apology but this is too
damn funny! so it is WHITE...I don't get anything but satisfaction of turning on people (not here of course) to a great product. It is not cheap @ around $30 a bottle and its too bad someone has to be "known" before they can post even if it is off topic, and I am doing my best to write a run on sentence and not use speel check so it fits under the guide lines of a real post and someone sent me an email that said my writing was a hack job and could never be considered real ad copy but this other guy posted here said it reeked of Madison Ave, (so confused) now I have never been on Madison ave but Times Square sure does reek of **** and...oopsss shouldn't use a curse word.....god you are so much fun.....I read the indoor outdoor grill thread and have to wonder......nevermind.......oh well bye thanks for all the fun. *Laughing all the way to the refrigerator* "Edwin Pawlowski" > wrote in message om... > > "Inkeola" > wrote in message > ink.net... > > Well this is where promoting for sales (spam) and sharing information > > about > > something cool finds its "grey area". > > > > Not gray at all. > > BLACK > If you are paid by the company being promoted in any way, if you are > commercially advertising in any way, it is wrong. > > WHITE > To discuss products we use and like is perfectly acceptable and one reason > we read these newsgroups. > > |
