Maybe sharp knives aren't such a good thing.
Have i ever slashed at my finger with a dull knife? Not really. But
what happens when i get them all sharpened up? I get just a little too close while chopping green onions. Damn thing sliced right through the nail and took off the first millimeter of the tip of my thumb. Sharpen your knives. Bah. That's the last time i take the advice of this group :-) Since i seem to be incompetent with a knife, methinks i should invest in some of these. http://www.leevalley.com/garden/page...urrency=1&SID= Good day. |

I got new knives last summer and was trying to slice veggies for a pasta primavera in a hurry because I wanted to be done! I did the same darned thing! Took a layer right off the tip of my thumb. When the bleeding stopped, and it took a while, I did go back and finish, but was much slower. I also recruited a kid to help me, so we got the job done quicker anyway. Dawn |

I still vote for sharp. The glove would be good at times when I'm doing a lot of cutting. Lee 'Valley is one of my favorite places. The gloves may be on my next order. Ed |

Why respond to this nut? After he comes down off of crack he won't even
remeber posting this, much less who's computer he did it from. > wrote in message om... > Have i ever slashed at my finger with a dull knife? Not really.
