Default 600+ CFM Hood at under 4.0 sones without breaking the bank?

Hi, all. We're buying a house with a gas range, and we want to replace
the recirculating hood with one that vents to the outside, and my wife
would like one that can pull a lot of air without sounding like a
jet engine.

Can anyone suggest a make/model of (under-cabinet) hood with decent
lights that can pull 800+ CFM, with 600+ CFM being 4.0 sones or
quieter? We'd prefer to spend less than a thousand dollars for the
hood itself...

Plusses would include oil-reservoirs, self-cleaning, etc.

(do people have opinions about squirrel-cage vs impellor in general?)
