What do you folk recommend for polishing aluminum? This is one of those
hammered/engraved aluminum trays I picked up at a yard sale for a
quarter, and I'd like to see it shine again.

I have used a product call Met-All on aluminum with good luck.

Howdy,

If the OP is searching for it, try:

"Simichrome"

OK, that makes a little more sense. :-) I'll keep an eye out for it.
Thanks everyone!

I use to have aluminum pans with copper bottoms and I'd use a copper
cleaner on them and it would clean up the aluminum too. They both
always looked like brand new!
I also have these air bake cookie sheets and they get that amber
build-up on them. I used the Mr.Clean Eraser sponge and a bit of
elbow grease and they came clean. Well, the fronts anyway, I don't
cook on the backs of them so I didn't spend any time cleaning it!!!
Give that a try. You could always use a little baking soda for some
abrasion.
Good luck with that.

Howdy,

It is one of those products that could sell more if it were more
widely available. "Keeping an eye out" might take you decades.

Try a motorcycle shop. They are likely to have it.

All the best,
