I had previously sent this query to this ng:
Quote, "I bought the larger of the two oxo salad spinners. I'm not sure about water getting into the top spinner lid mechanism. The one I've had for many years isn't closed in and I can put it in a sinkful of dishwater if I want to without worry about rinsing out the soapy dish water. How do you go about washing and rinsing the top spinner part; does the water always come out to dry?" Unquote. I forgot to give the answer I received from Oxo. "You are correct that the lid mechanism, as well as the flat storage lid, are top rack dishwasher safe. Air drying is the recommended method of drying. A new OXO GOOD GRIPS Salad Spinner with a two-part lid will be available at retailers and at www.oxo.com this fall. The lid comes apart for cleaning." I guess they are saying that it would be better for the lid to come apart for cleaning. This ticks me off to always be a 'dollar late.' (or something like that -- teee heee). Damn! Dee Dee |
