Is there a manual defrost function? I know nothing about puny residential ice maker functions, but commercial ice makers have optical sensors to detect when an ice bin is full and other sensors to determine if a defrost cycle should run. These can be set manually as well. If you have a reset feature, try it and see if that gets things going. 2. Check all of your fans to make sure air circulation is not obstructed. Check to make sure that all debris, no matter how small is clear. Check to make sure nothing is protruding into the fan blades, blocking their ability to turn. Vacuum away any dirt stuck to the coils. 3. Is this a used unit? If so, the compressor may need a recharge of coolent. Heck, even if it's new, shipping damage could have knocked things awry. -- Dave www.davebbq.com |
