Default Ideas to use ground flax with

My area no longer sells Carb Fit Special K cereal, and all other types of cereal
spike me. So I still want to use ground flax that I had added to the cereal
along with walnuts. Where else can I use my ground flax in?
Thanks,
Trinity
ps: allergic to eggs, so no eggy meals please!!

Hi Trinity, they renamed the Special K "Carb Fit" to Special K
"Protein Plus". Same stuff, just the name changed. Our Super Wal-Mart
carries it. I buy it weekly, just got some yesterday. Every store here
that carried the "Carb Fit" now carries it under the new name.
Cheers, Wizzzer

I posted an onion bread recipe here some time back. It uses ground flax,
ground sunflower seeds, onions, olive oil, and nama shoyu or celtic salt.
You need a dehydrator for it though. I also use ground flax as an egg
substitute in baked goods at a ratio of 1 t. flax to 1 t. water. For some
things that have a nuttier taste, you can add a bit more flax.

Hi Wizzzer,
I'll have to see if any are sold here (Ontario). If they do then I'll certainly
buy it, but if not, I'll stick to finding other means to use the flax. I bought
two big bags from Bulk Barn.
Cheers,
Trinity

Hi Julie,
I don't have a dehydrator, but do you think ground flax would work with say
ground pork? Or is that too nutty for pork?
I have 2 big bags of flax and I do want to consume it somehow...
Thanks,
Trinity

Don't know about using it with meat. I'm not much of a meat eater. I know
some people sprinkle it over cottage cheese. When I ate toast, I'd butter
the toast and sprinkle it on there. If you eat nut butter, you could
probably mix it in that. Mainly I use it for baked goods.
