Default Diabetic Dessert Recipes

Each of these recipes can be used by varying people with different
types of diabetes.

Some people with diabetes need to monitor their carb intakes: other
people with diabetes need to be more concerned with cholesterol. There
is no way to make each recipe suit everyone, which is why the site
offers a choice of different recipes so that each diabetic can choose.
If you read the page on diabetic diet, and meal planning for diabetes,
you would have a much clearer insight into the integrity of the site.

This is a site offered to help people with diabetes get all the
information. If you choose to ignore the information, then there is a
problem.

Perhaps it was my fault for directing people to the recipe page without
first directing them to the pages where there is advice on nutrition.

http://www.theguideto-diabetes.com/diabetes_diet/
http://www.theguideto-diabetes.com/d...meal_planning/
http://www.theguideto-diabetes.com/d...exchange_diet/

These sites all provide information.
The point of the site posted above is so that diabetics can choose
recipes after learning about diabetes nutrition.

I am sorry for the confusion this post has caused.
You should not use any recipe without assessing it for individual
needs.

For general advice on diabetes, visit
http://www.theguideto-diabetes.com/diabetes_diet

but please always consult a dietititan or doctor if you have concerns

Here's a link to a zillion recipes that any diabetic could eat, not just
those who think sugar and flour are a good idea...

Rubbish.

It's a money-making scheme. That's bad enough spamming here.
But worse, it shows a total lack of understanding of the
relationship between carbs and BGs.

Apart from that the damn site has pop-ups all over the
place.

Go away.

I do have a great no sugar, no egg, even tofu mouse that is heavenly and
very simple, hardly a recipe at all.

sugar-free tofu Mousse

12-16 oz package of silken tofu
5-7 oz of good quality bitter baking chocolate,
1-2 tsps vanilla
artificial sweetener to taste.

whap up the tofu in a food processor until liquidy
Melt chocolate adn add, with vanilla and sweetener to the processor and
mix until just blended. Tase for sweetness and adjust to your liking.
This may take a bit of sweetener to get to what you like. chill and
serve. It goes very nicely with rasberries chudl you have some around.

Note-If you want to reduce fat, you can replace some-not all the chocolate
with cocoa powder and a little water to liquify it. Not a s rich but
still good. this makes a great company dessert!

What?????????? Where did you get this info. from? ALL diabetics need to
monitor their carb intakes. ALL of them!

If your "diabetic diet" has anything to do with us not monitoring our carbs
and monitoring our cholesterol then we sure don't need your insight.

All the information. Including the wrong information. Heh! Choosing to
ingnore wrong information doesn't seem like a problem to me!

Yeah. They provide old and/or vague information. Most of us here are not
stupid. And you're probably not a diabetic. Or if you are, you're probably
not in control if you use your advice!
