I read about the "miracle" noodles and how most thought they were akin to
eating rubber bands...but read good reviews of this tofu hybrid of that yam jelly stuff. it stinks like fish when you open the packet which is in the refrigerated section by the vegetables/tofu section in my store. I rinsed it under cold water then patted dry with paper towel and then in a tsp butter cooked it with garlic then added a tsp parm and a splash cream for a quickie fettuccini alfredo. it was good..the texture was pretty close and for the entire packet having no carbs and 40 calories I cant complain. I look forward to trying this stuff with other things such as asian inspired dishes and other pasta dishes. I give it a 3 and a half out of five...if it was ready to use out of the packet and not needing to be rinsed and prepped to kill the fish stink, I'd love it. KROM |

the smell is terrible like fish out of the package but I learned a trick to
make them pleasant. I rinse them in cold running water then drain in a fine mesh strainer, then nuke them with a bit of chicken broth for 4 minutes and then drain and use like I would any thin pasta. my preference is the spaghetti over the linguini because the spaghetti has the consistency of angle hair pasta the linguini is a bit rubbery. my current favorite recipe is to nuke the noodles with wheat free soy sauce and five spice powder and chicken breast and sesame oil and chili..yum! makes a excellent lo mien! ?cool thnx!
I still find the thinner spaghetti stile the best of these..the thicker noodles are just to rubbery... KROM "Jack" wrote There is a blog that discuss cooking these "noodles" in Asian style. Tried it and it's pretty good. http://www.examiner.com/healthy-food...e-taste-so-bad |
