I remember when I was first diagnosed, I had a silly thought. I thought...
They're going to come out with all of these new candy bars and I'll never know what they taste like! And it really was a silly thought because there was all sorts of candy out there at the time that I had never tasted. Nor had I wanted to. There is a high school girl at Angela's dance studio who has never eaten a hamburger. I thought this sounded strange. Because they are such a common food. And then I realized that I have never eaten a Big Mac. They just never looked appealing. And I have never eaten blue cheese. It doesn't look appealing either. Of course there are all sorts of foreign foods I have never eaten. Perhaps because I have never encountered them. But there are countless foods I am surrounded by now that I have never eaten and have never thought to eat. Many kinds of cake, ice cream, cookies, seafood, some fruits and veggies. And lamb. I don't think I've ever had that. I don't think I've had an Egg McMuffin either. Or one of their fish sandwiches. Or their chicken nuggets or strips or whatever they're called. And now they have new chicken bites. So are there any foods that are common to your area that you've never eaten? |

I am crestfallen; ah woe, alas, mea maxima culpa. And the Patriots lost also; has the limitless mercy of the Almighty finally hit a speedbump? I am crestfallen, truly bereft of any semblance of joy. pavane, woefully filtered. |

I found it easier to factor in casserole form. I would simply add up the counts for everything that went in there and then divide it by 4 or 6 or 8 or whatever worked out best. Woe be to anyone that dared take a portion that wasn't an exact square, rectangle or wedge because then it would mess me up! |

My Grandfather(RIP) liked eating that stuff. I don't know how to make it, but you can bet your sweet bippies I won't be eating it any time soon. If I was a starving man, mad with hunger, lost for weeks in the bush and I was offered pig ear in aspic, I'd turn it down. I do like my pig tails though. |

One of my past hobbies was collecting old cookbooks. As in really old. I saw more things put in aspic in those things than I cared to. I've never eaten aspic and don't care to. |

As in really old. I : saw more things put in aspic in those things than I cared to. I've never : eaten aspic and don't care to. Think clear , unsweetened jello with something in it which could well be something you like. In wel made, homemade gefilte fish, the gelled broth surrounding the refrigerated fish is quite delicious and, i suppose, is technically an aspic. No need for pigs ears of calves feet etc surrounded by aspic, but often quite nice things too. Wendy |
