Hi All
I'm spending far too much time sitting in front of a computer, and starting to repeat myself boringly endlessly as well - so it's time for a break. I've decided to unsubscribe on Monday morning (tomorrow) and see you all again in a month or two when we have a new crop of newbies to cajole and persuade and inform. I'll hang around on the quieter a.s.d.uk a little longer just to keep in touch. So, in case it's longer than that, thanks to each and every one of you. Too many to name. I honestly believe that you wonderful people on m.h.d and a.s.d have saved my life - even the ones I argued with caused me to think, learn and research more. You should all be proud of yourselves for keeping these groups going. We may argue, and get bitchy, go OT and be trolled and spammed - but in amongst all that is diabetes advice at the cutting edge if you take the time to look for it. And some great, caring, people. Be proud of yourselves. 'bye all Cheers, Alan, T2, Australia. Don't walk behind me, I may not lead. Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend. I spent 10 minutes this afternoon trying to get my retriever to chase a ball. He is such a sook that he prefers to be touched when a human is around rather than playing. The ISP groups - being Australian - mean that the conversations are like being in a chat room, answers come so fast. ASD is a hard group to keep up with I think, especially when lots of people are looking for other people's experiences. You can't give a 1 sentence answer, at least this motormouth can't ![]() |

Don't stay away too long!
Although I don't post often, I read regularly and your posts are ones I always read. I know how much you helped me when I first found ASD after being diagnosed and still did after I was undiagnosed (is that a word?). Anyway, enjoy life and be well. Regards and best wishes. I posted the note below on alt.support.diabetes as it just "appeared out of
the blue" there. Then I noticed that when I send a message from this newsgroup it goes to that newsgroup and one other. Is there any way I can make it show up just here, apart from physically deleting the other 2 addresses in the "to" box? For example, in Agent I can set the options to alert me when posts are cross-posted when I reply. Howevwer, I always look in the "To" or "Newsgroups" field because there are many posters who deliberately cross-post and your reply will go to all those groups if you don't adjust it. Cross-posting is not always bad - in fact I think the one in question was my own:-) However, it is a tactic often used by trolls for maximum annoyance of the maximum number.
