I saw this on alt.food.recipes and it sounds so good that I wanted to
share it with you. Unfortunately, I do not understand the part about the "purchase." Belgian beef stew with beer. This link goes to a typical recipe, which is quite good. There's also a classic version in one of Julia Child's early books. Delicious stuff, especially when the weather gets a little cooler. -aem http://www.elise.com/recipes/archive..._beer_stew.php |

I make a very good pot roast a lot like this--only I use 1 can tomato soup, one bottle of beer (fosters is my favorite), and a couple of cans of whole tomatoes. Throw in garlic and a couple bay leaves--and have about 3 or 4 big vadalia onions and carrots. Great stuff!! |
