Default Royer's Round Top Cafe on TV

Did y'all see Bud Royer on the electric television set with
Paula Deen's little boys? Pies looked damn good. Wisht
they'da showed more of the Round Top Cafe and less of Paula
Deen's little boys. <http://www.royersroundtopcafe.com/events/>

Bud was smooth. Pies looked like a mouth festival, oral
gratification run amok. Paula Deen's little boys just gaped
and gawked and talked a lot and didn't seem to know how to
assemble ingredients. But their mama cooks with lard, so
they can be retroactively forgiven.

Bud's a genuine character with a fixation on quality.

Little too short a profile. But some is way better than none.

I've said that to all my wives.

I saw that (first time watching the Deen boys' show). Royers Roundtop Cafe
is truly one of Texas' many little gems. It's been featured on the Food
Network at least once before.

Hmmmmm...been awhile since I've made Bud's chocolate chip pie...

Does anyone have a recipe for the buttermilk, coconut, chocolate chip and
nut pie? Epicurious.com has recipes for buttermilk crust and for buttermilk
pie, but I've no idea if they are close to what was shown on the program.

If not, plrase post the chocolate chip pioe recipe.

Bobby Flay went there to get a chicken-fried steak
he didn't understand or deserve.

Flay also didn't know how to eat crawfish during one of his FoodNation shows
in Houston.
