Semi-Homemade with Sandra Lee: Desert Dinner Party
From the Food Network web site:
Desert Dinner Party Any day is a perfect day for a beautiful Desert Dinner Party. Sandra's house is decked out in an exotic palm tree motif, and her recipes are just as decadent. But she made them super simple and super delicious. Your guests are going to love this dinner party! First up, Sandra's Broccoli Slaw, which is light, crispy and perfect for a party. Then, her steamy Bourbon Baked Beans, which are both sweet and smoky. On to the main course: Chili-Rubbed Pork Chops With Warm Mango Salsa—hot, spicy and simple. The dessert, Cranberry Vanilla Can Cakes, is fun to make and just as fun to eat. Then it's cocktail time! Sandra has two tropical drinks: an Oasis Martini that's tart and sophisticated, and her Palm Springs Punch, which whisks you away to the calm of the desert. Because nothing says desert food to me more than mangos, cranberries, and baked beans. -- WARNING!!! Use of these recipes may be hazardous to your health, food budget, standing in your community and liver function. Use at your own risk!! We assume no liability from any illness or injury sustained while eating the "food" or being exposed to crapass tablescapes. And no, we're not sure where she grew up either. The Cordon Bleu disavows any knowlege of Miss Lee. |
