People.

Do not toss trash that others throw out of their cars back into their cars.

Do not thump people's vehicles when they go right on red instead of yielding
to pedestrians.

Are you out of your ****ing minds?

People get killed for less than this these days.

You are INITIATING aggression, for shit's sake.

That is all. You may resume cooking and flapping.

You believe that? Same here, $25, I think. Who in the world
thought it would be a good idea to give out your personal information
to any schmo with 25 bucks??? It's crazy.

The idea behind initiating aggression is you need to be
able to follow through.

So I assume you're talking only to those who can't.

Bad assumption.

It is nearly always a bad idea to initiate aggression, genius.

People get hurt.

Over litter?

Over who goes first at an intersection?

Don't let the fact that I'm a genius convince you I can't
deal with aggression in all the ways it can develop.

People get hurt when those things aren't dealt with, too.

The one and only time I exhibited road rage was in L.A. I was driving on
a two lane, two way city street on a blind uphill stretch when a cab
driver tried to pass me! When he got side by side, I threw my lit
cigarette into his cab! All I remember hearing was "What..." as he pulled
over to put out the fire.

The idiot could've killed us both if an oncoming car had come over the
hill.

No remorse,

Oh, no, you just reminded me of a pedestrian aggression
incident in my past. Hey, the guy almost hit me. Then
he tried to intimidate me for calling him a jerk! Oh, well,
he couldn't have known.

That reminds me (I DON'T know why) of an incident where a woman in high-
heels accidently stepped "heel to toe" on my foot. OUCH!

She apoligized, "I'm so sorry".

I replied, "That's quite alright. I've got nine left."

What WAS I thinking!?? (VBG)

There are all sorts of jerks in the world who have no problems
screwing other people around and inconveniencing others and who
get away with it all the time. They are jerks, and they are
pretty well guaranteed to act even more the jerk when called on
their behaviour, but it may make them think the next time they
try it again. It has been suggested here that pedestrians should
be careful in their reactions to a jerk drivers because the
driver may become violent. By the same token, the drivers
should be learning that pedestrians may do the same.

Sorry, but I got fed up with bobbing and weaving to avoid
running into people in crowds. I stopped jumping out of their
way. I discovered that most of them are a lot more aware of
their surroundings than they let on. They are not completely
oblivious to your presence, just ignoring you so that they can
walk in front of you and know that you won't walk right into
them.

The other day when I had that encounter with the litterbug I
continued on my ride and I ran into four different groups of
cyclists coming the other way. In each one of those groups there
was at least one person riding alongside another cyclist. The
trail isn't wide enough for three. I watched each pair coming on
and the one on my side of the trail was always acting as if
totally unaware of our collision course. The first time I moved
over and said something, but the next three times I tried a
different approach. I moved to the middle and made it clear that
I was not yielding to them until the one on my side went back
into single file and then I moved over to the right.

(laugh) Perhaps you're not the shy type when someone almost
runs you over while you're walking, either? Maybe I shouldn't
have said Jerk, but what am I supposed to do when he then turns
around, pulls up right next to me and says, you better watch who
you call jerk. I only asked him (as I moved to face him) are you
*threatening me*? and explained the rules of the road, and how
a BIG STRONG JERK like you could manage the turn signal, no?

He didn't know I'm not originally from here. I had to take care of
myself before. I only looked like a pushover.

Saying "jerk," while probably not wise, is not the same as
physically assaulting someone by throwing trash in their window
or their car by striking it.

It is still not smart, though, because less has gotten people
seriously hurt.

What's his name actually had a point regarding aggression:
it is a choice, but if you are going to go that way, be sure
you have the biggest stick. I recommend a legal handgun.

Some people do try really hard at that! ;-)

I wasn't real aware of youtube.com until Senator Allen's "maccaca moment" a
little while back. Boy, some of the things people post on youtube! ;-) Your
not kidding about people wanting it to be more obscene... or at least more
distasteful. There are some who try repeatedly to get in just under the
site's propriety limits and keep having their videos removed. These are not
videos of someone else... these are videos of themselves!
