Hah! You call that snotty?

Forget it, Nancy. That's what passes for friendly banter in this
group. I've read you long enough to know your not likely to take any
abuse, or offense, from what little static I dish out. Likewise, I
know you're not really a mean or spiteful person, even when you get
your hackles up. Your one of rfc's sweethearts just standing her
ground. Please know that I'm deeply touched by your apology, albeit
totally unnecessary. [blush]

oh lord what a hoot she was about those Mounties )

ObFood: I have a jar of "Maple Butter" that arrived in a gift basket
last Christmas. Any suggestions of any special uses? Other than
slathering up a handsome Mountie.... lol

OMA!! Thanks for the reminder, Goomba! I had a brief note from
Constable Tim about 2-1/2 weeks ago and have neglected to respond.

OB Food: I made Cedric Adams' Hotdish for dinner last night. I've
posted the recipe here before (maybe even recently) and just did the
same on my jamlady.eboard.com site, link below. Have a look or don't.

Back to the pancake idea- Now you have me thinking a crepe filled with
apple sauce and some nuts, with the maple butter either heated and used
on top or inside would be delicious!
Just because it reminds me of this-Here is a recipe I've had in years past:

* Exported from MasterCook *

Wuerzburg Crepes

Recipe By :Wuerzburg OWC
Categories : Desserts

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
8 ounces applesauce
1/4 cup peanut butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tablespoon cinnamon
10 cooked crepes
1 tablespoon butter
1/4 cup rum or other liqueur

In small mixing bowl combine applesauce and peanut butter thoroughly. In
another small mixing bowl combine powdered sugar and cinnamon.
Spoon 2 T. of the applesauce mixture and 1 T. of the sugar mixture in
center of each crepe. Set remaining sugar mixture aside.
Fold crepe bottom up, sides in, down for blintz shape. Chill till needed.
At serving time, melt butter in chafing dish or crepe pan. Arrange
crepes folded edges down in pan. Sprinkle crepes with remaining sugar
mixture. Cook on low heat for about 1 minute. Pour rum over crepes and
ignite with long match. Gently slide pan back and forth over heat and
spoon sauce over crepes till flames die.
Place crepes on serving dishes and spoon hot sauce over and serve
immediately.

Ackshully, I think I have the upper hand because I received another
version from a fellow foodie just yesterday - this one is a moose with
a Mountie hat. LOL.

I haven't heard from Tim in ages, Barb, so I'm glad to hear he's still
around.
